A natural spring spa is a bath installed where the water wells ups from the ground.

You can therefore enjoy fresh water that has had little contact with the atmosphere,
and has had little change in its composition or quality.

The topography, water quality, and water temperature are all necessary conditions for this.

Kannawa’s History

A natural spring spa

Kannawa – the pinnacle of the healing culture of old Japanese onsen. Kannawa onsen is the center of the hot springs. Its history is also long; it flourished as a spa healing town with many people staying long-term for treatment. It is said that they would relax and use the stone steamers (jigokugama) to steam their food in the vapors of the onsen.

About the springs

◎About the springs・ In compliance with the Hot Springs Law, we only use water drawn from our own or communal springs

◎What is kakenagashi?New water is always being poured into the bath. The amount of water flowing out is the same as the amount poured in. Water that has flowed out is never returned to the bath. We do not use recirculation filtration to compensate for any shortage of water

◎What is the springs kakenagashi? We fill the bath so that the minerals remain fresh and are not affected after they well up
